Malaysia: Recognition of Foreign Halal Certification Bodies 2021 (MPR-FHCB)

On 11 February 2021, the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) opened a public consultation on the draft Malaysia Procedure for the Recognition of Foreign Halal Certification Bodies 2021 (MPR-FHCB). The comment deadline is 1 March 2021. The MPR-FHCB shall be applicable for FHCBs that are applying for JAKIM’s recognition and FHCBs which have been recognised by JAKIM. The validity of the recognition is three years.
