Thailand: Healthier Choice Logo

On 03 January 2025, the Subcommittee on the Development and Promotion of Simplified Nutrition Labelling officially approved the revised nutrition profiling model for the Healthier Choice Logo. Initially decided in early 2024, the revision includes (i) reducing the sugar limit in beverages from 6g to 5g per 100 ml; (ii) introducing sodium limits for broth cubes; and (iii) requiring Fermented Plant-Based Milk to meet criteria for acquiring the Healthier Choice Logo. However, manufacturers or importers of food products that were previously certified to display the Healthier Choice nutrition label before this enforcement will be given a grace period to ensure compliance with the new criteria.
