On 10 September 2024, the Indonesia Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) issued Draft Regulation on Nutritional Value Information on Processed Food Labels. This new regulation will replace the following existing regulations:• BPOM Regulation No. 26 of 2021 Information on Nutritional Values on Processed Food Labels• BPOM Regulation No. 9 of 2016 on Nutrition Label References• BPOM Regulation No. 16 of 2020 on the Inclusion of Nutritional Value Information for Processed Food produced by Micro and Small BusinessesThe decision follows a review of stakeholder feedback from a survey conducted in May 2024 on the implementation of BPOM Regulation No. 26 of 2021, as well as discussions with stakeholders on 12 June 2024.
